A Massive Cultural Event of Performing Arts
The "Kala Utsav" (Art Festival) is a powerful medium for promoting art and
culture among students,
schools, and youth. It encompasses various forms of art, theatrical plays, songs, and musical
activities. This festival
provides children and students with an appropriate opportunity for personality development
through creative expression.
It connects them with society, history, and culture through different art forms, teaches them to
love art, and guides
them to build their mind, intellect, and personality correctly. Ultimately, it helps them become
good and sensitive
human beings.
This multi-day festival includes numerous workshops where art and literature experts guide the
students. Under their
leadership, various art classes are conducted. At the end of the festival, all students are
given a platform to showcase
their art, learned skills, and talents.
A key objective of Kala Utsav is to reconnect today's students and youth with
their roots and redirect them
towards the arts in this technological era. Through literature, it introduces them to their
culture and encourages them
to understand their country, society, environment, history, and culture properly.
NatyaShala is intended for Govt. school students who are enrolled in Prayatna. Most of the students enrolled in NatyaShala are from migrant families from urban rural areas of Gurgaon.
Since 2009, many plays have been played by the children. Street plays are also an integral part of NatyaShala. Through these plays, students are able to enhance their acting skills to a further extent.
